I’m impressed by how much effort Michigan Radio puts into interacting with people. Both on facebook and on the main site. I noticed that although they have a twitter, they seem to tweet much more than they get tweeted at. The fact that they get more interaction on Facebook than the other social media sites makes sense given people over 30 are both more likely to use news radio and are a growing demographic on facebook.
The other things that are impressive post frequency and the overall lack of ads. However, the most impressive thing is that some of the radio content appears to be transcribed into searchable text. Although this is advisable from a search engine optimization perspective, it also makes the site accessible for many users.
